Inflammation-Soothing Smoothie

This anti-inflammatory smoothie is perfect for getting in extra greens when you’re in the mood for something light that isn’t a salad. I found it in the book, “The Anti-Inflammatory Diet and Action Plans” by Dorthy Calimeris and Sondi Bruner. It’s one of the easier recipes in the book and a great refresher for warm days. I’ve had it every morning this week. You only need four ingredients, so it’s also fuss free.

1 pear

1/2 fennel bulb

1 thin slice of fresh ginger

1 cup packed spinach

1/2 cucumber

1/2 cup of water

ice (optional, but the colder the smoothie the better, in my opinion)
